When we are content about what is available that gives the feeling of heaven. When we are highly angry about what is happening in life that gives the feeling of hell. It is the thoughts, words and actions that lead to these situations. We need to nurture good qualities and make great efforts to develop heavenly feeling within. Out of this world, anywhere else we will not be able to see or experience heaven or hell.
Anything that happens away from our expectation becomes suffering. If that is something more pleasurable beyond expectation we feel it as heavenly. None of us want difficulties, sufferings, or hell like experience. At the same time, we want the pleasure experiences to continue with us. But remember that nothing on this earth is forever. It is to exhibit this impermanence of this world and its things that we send flowers as gift. Those beautiful entities live only a few days, but smiling and giving happiness to others.
Some days we are very happy, and attempt to make others happy as well. Happiness and sadness, pleasures and pains actually co-exist as two sides of same coin. In order to feel heavenly experience we need to give something in return. It is what we give that we get back, even the feelings. Do not misunderstand it with pleasures that are temporary in nature. Perhaps, the easiest way to heavenly feelings is acceptance. We need to get used to things that cannot be changed but change what we can.
Fulfillment comes through the reformation of self. Surrender to the will of universe and service to that power gives immense happiness that cannot be explained. Purpose of life is different for each person, and thus experience also differs. Give the best of what you can back to the universe in return for the blessings and feel the bliss. Let us use the gift from nature when we want to give away something.
